We are looking for a Director of Marketing, an entrepreneurial and seasoned, yet hands-on, strategic manager with a proven record of creating and managing a content marketing team, B2B content marketing programs, SEO initiatives, webinars and publishing while being able to quickly execute alongside team members. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong SEO, content and editorial background, expertise in cross-social content with a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape. The Director of Marketing should have a track record of managing teams, creating new initiatives to build traffic and MQL’s, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities, a connection to influencer marketing,  and a love of emerging social media.

What You’ll Do:

  • Management and hiring of editorial, content, and marketing team and resources including writers (in-house, freelance)
  • Create strategy and oversee content creation for Mediakix’s social channels, newsletter and blog positioning Mediakix as a thought leader and resource to marketers, including creating and managing editorial calendar, managing writers and third party contributors, writing and editing blog posts, and planning additional research, surveys and content.
  • Measure and report on marketing campaigns and efforts using Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other necessary reporting tools 
  • Manage content creation of additional marketing resources including landing pages, white papers, e-books, research reports, infographics, etc. and develop distribution and link building strategy
  • Research latest social media marketing and influencer marketing trends to ensure published content is authoritative, up-to-date, and relevant
  • Use tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, HubSpot and Google Analytics to track content marketing and social efforts, optimize, and grow Mediakix’s web presence based on data

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field from a top-ranked school
  • 5-7 years experience in Content Marketing including managing and building teams
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous management experience is required. Experience leading marketing teams and processes in a fast-paced, varied environment
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our various types of content
  • Experienced writing and editing background, prior experience in the communications or journalism fields, and passionate about creating stories and general interest for the organization
  • Proficiency with web traffic metrics to optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Docs, MailChimp, and MS Office
  • Editorial mindset
  • Hands on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Expertise in social media platforms and social media management tools  
  • A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business mission
