We are looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager, an entrepreneurial and seasoned, yet hands-on, strategic manager with a proven record of creating and managing a content marketing team, content marketing programs, initiatives, and publishing while being able to quickly execute alongside team members.

S/he must have a passion for the advertising industry, possess a ”can-do” attitude, have experience with managing a content marketing team, be adaptable to shifting priorities based on industry news, and have expertise in lead generation, social media marketing, SEO, and B2B digital marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong content and editorial background, expertise in cross-social content, and a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape. The Senior Content Marketing Manager should have a track record of managing teams, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, a connection to influencer marketing, and a love of emerging social media.

What You’ll Do

  • Management of editorial and content team and resources including writers (in-house, freelance), designers, coordinators, and third-party vendors
  • Create strategy and oversee content creation for Mediakix social channels and website, including creating and managing editorial calendar, managing writers and third-party contributors, providing feedback, outlining content, drafting and editing blog posts, and creating industry leading content/thought leadership while following SEO best practices
  • Undertake content marketing initiatives to generate qualified leads and achieve business targets including all supporting social media channels and email/newsletter distribution
  • Develop an inbound marketing strategy that focuses on converting web traffic into leads
  • Measure and report on marketing campaigns and efforts using Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other necessary reporting tools
  • Manage content creation and SEO strategy of all marketing resources including blog posts, landing pages, white papers, e-books, research reports, infographics, etc.
  • Oversee content shared through owned social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring strong and effective web presence
  • Write high-quality, B2B thought leadership content with a firm grasp of social media, marketing, advertising, and business industries
  • Research latest social media marketing and influencer marketing trends to ensure published content is authoritative, up-to-date, search-optimized, and relevant
  • Leverage press relationships to distribute Mediakix content, generate new backlink opportunities, maintain an organized database of press contacts, and develop new relationships
  • Identify and manage opportunities with paid media advertisers and establish guidelines for partnering with advertisers, implementing ads on-site, and measuring results
  • Hire and build content marketing team to support department objectives

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field from a top-ranked school
  • 3-5 years experience in Content Marketing including managing and building teams
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous management experience, leading marketing teams and processes in a fast paced, varied environment is required
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our various types of content
  • Prior experience in the B2B communications or journalism fields, and passionate about creating stories and general interest for the organization
  • Proficiency with web traffic metrics to optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Suite, HubSpot, and MS Office
  • Editorial mindset
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Expertise in social media platforms and social media management tools
  • A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business mission
